The shifter surround/cup holder piece is held in by 4 screws, not only the two shown (1:45). The extra two screws are 1) under the shifter plate, in front are to the left of the shifter itself and 2) under the rubber pad at the bottom of the forward-most cupholder. The pad is a PITA to get out, but you have to work it out so you can get to that last screw. Also, the button bars that flank the CUE screen are a pain to get out (4:15). Each one has four clips: 2 on the outside and two on the inside between the CUE at the buttons. The outside ones are simple to pop, but you'll need a tiny, flathead screwdriver to pop the inner ones. And you'll have to work blind because it's not easy to see into the seam where the clips are. You need to remove these because the uppermost screws holding the CUE itself to the car are behind these switch modules.

Been there done this and it was a pain finding a good video. If I found this one, it would have been easier. There is a lot of BS on line, even telling you that you have to remove the shifter and the seat. Obviously, not. I have the exact same year and model, this video was spot on. Be aware that if you replace the touchscreen, don't forget to remove the plastic on the back. Don't ask how I know.

Followed this video today on a 2014 XTS and wanted to report that this went fine. Only issue I had was the shifter/cupholder. Getting this back in was very difficult because of the plastic guide under the front cupholder wouldn't fit in the right location.. Was quite a pain. Everything else was fine. Removed in ~35 minutes, put back together in about 20 minutes. Thanks for putting this together!

Very good and clear video thank you and good luck to all CUE owners dealing with their touch screens!
