Nolan Schruder says:

So If I've read the diagrams correct, When doing this repair with a standard relay the connections go as follows.
Brown – 12+ Relay Coil (85)
Pink/Light Green – Ground Relay Coil (86)
Dark Blue/Orange – Load side N/O Contact (87)
Red Fused Eyelet – Line side N/O Contact (30)

Can anyone confirm?

Nolan Schruder says:

Too bad you can't buy that relay anymore… Thanks for making the video anyway.

Will this same process with for 2012 DODGE CARAVAN?

Arthur Rodesiler says:

Try TIPM repair kit from Vertical Vision? You can find it on YouTube. Or google search it. For fuel relay all you have to is just connect it inside the top of the box. I have one in case my acts up. They also fix them right if you want to send it to them also. Your horn and lights and such are also have to be soldered in which they can do also.

I tried to look up the part number on Amazon and nothing came up… Googled it and found it on Mopar s website and it says it's discontinued and no longer available for purchase

Jacob Wiebe says:

Does anyone know where I can buy an external fuel pump relay with the writing for a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan in Ontario I checked to Dodge dealers already and they said they don't deal with them

Carmen Escoto says:

Hi I wanted to know how long will this bypass work for ? Also by any chance do you live in California ?

11sgsg1 says:

I have an 04 Ram 1500 that just started not turning over with a battery drain and it sounds like the truck is out of gas, but its not. It did start up a few times yesterday after a jump then nothing. I cant find this bypass listed as a fix for my ear, its always 07 or newer. Will it work for an 04?

Addy Chaddy says:

I can’t find that external relay at all, my Ram is a 2010 and the tipm is a little different so I don’t know if it will work.

Thank you for the video! It certainly helped me with my truck.. for anyone who wants to do this without a kit, you can go to your local parts store and get a relay and a relay pigtail for 15 bucks. I had to figure out which wires are what but it was easy. The brown and pink/green stripe wire are your trigger wires that will open and close the relay. The blue is the power wire is to the pump and requires the addition of a power wire as he showed in the video. When you have all the wiring done, when the key is turned on the relay should click on and shortly turn off as it has primed the fuel system. Once you start the vehicle it will stay on. The brown wire is a controlled ground that the pcm uses to shut off the pump when the pressure is high enough but the engine is not running. Hope this helps!

Trish Manuilow says:

Ok so I'm having the same problem but I cant seem to find the part on amazon the part number will not pull anything up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

jareb alan says:

Can you share the number of the kit, ? thanks

Easy Fix says:

Wow thats such a crappy system that dodge has. Thanks for the fix man, that is so Perfect!

John Baugh says:

I cut the fuel pump relay wires going to the TIPM and installed an external relay last fall. Dodge wouldn't sell me the kit claiming it was a warranty only item. Put a kit together myself. Gitter done!
