THAT’S NOT THE PASSENGER DOOR, THAT’S THE DRIVER DOOR ! ! ! Oh, oh, sorry,
excuse me, you’re British, my apologies. Actually this was a really
helpful video, thank you very much for posting it.

A BIG Thank You for making this video! Restored window operation after the
2nd attempt. I disconnected motor and cleaned male contacts with alcohol.
You really helped me. It was 20 degrees this morning and I had to drive.
Fixed it when I returned home.

Future West says:

Magic! Just disconnecting the door connectors like in the video allowed me
to close the window until time allows me to fix this for good. Thanks!

My V70 won’t start after removing the door panel!

Hi, no bubble to burst here, says in description to disconnect battery
first to save stripping the door, I don’t have DICE/VIDA but I am sure it
can be done. I see you have Volvo vids up too, keep it up mate. Thanks for
posting, cheers.

Mike Loucas says:

Great video. Sorry to burst your bubble but the solution to this is to
disconnect the battery then press the brake pedal to fully discharge and
reconnect the battery whilst the key is in Pos II. The passenger door
module’s fuse could also have been removed which would have cut power to
the PDM. Also by using Vida/Dice you can perform a PDM window calibration
all done remotely if above method fails.

Mike Loucas says:

Hey there!! I also have an ’01 XC in the process of repairing the
transmission. Thanks for showing me how not to break the trim tabs!! Join
us over on Matthews Volvo Site and share your knowledge Cheers
