Outstanding! Good video, thanks for making this! That is why I started
making my videos…no one out there made videos for our cars, instead they
would post a two page forum topics…and most the time WITHOUT pictures!
🙂 Thanks again for doing this!

Great thanks. My low beam just went out today and will need to replace.
Awesome video. I noticed that the stereo doesn’t work now. I’m wondering if
these two are connected somehow. Hmmm.

Nicholas Kerzman says:

Thanks changed them out tonight, I appreciate the video. I had one of my
lamps get a little stuck and it would not come out of the “holster” or
metal reflector sleeve that the bulb sits in. Ultimately I undid the two
torx screws, pulled the assembly out and found a little metal tab I had to
pry up just a small tad in order to the the third “peg” of the light out of
the slot/hole. One of the three light “pegs” is bigger and has to come out
the correct hole. Nice video, thanks.

Nicholas Kerzman says:

When you disconnected the lights did you have the key in the ignition and
on? I did this when removing a seat that had a little electric clip, it
tripped the airbag sensor and had to have my mechanic reset it. No consumer
reset option. I’ve heard of similar issues with radios and disconnecting
things with the ignition on/in. Also after turning the car off, let it sit
for a little to discharge, read that somewhere too. As for your situation
now, search some forums or visit your mechanic.

Very helpful, thanks brother!

Nicholas Kerzman says:

Also, mine was an H11 on the 2006 XC90. I recommend you pull a dead one out
and check before ordering or picking up from a store to make sure you have
the right match.

Thanks for the instructions – saved me a heap. Just a note on the H7 vs H11
choice, the oem bulb in my Australian purchased XC90 was a H7 so I replaced
it with the same.

Thanks for sharing. Saved me some $!

Lola Deas says:

I always check these video’s on YouTube, saves time and you don’t end up
breaking something. As far as I can make out the H7 is brighter than the
H11. Thanks for taking the time to upload!

Great! That is why I made it!

OPRFHouse says:

@Nicholas Kerzman I did not have the ignition on or the key in it. I have
not had any electrical issues either thank God. Just three transmissions by
the time we hit 70k miles. No biggy.
