Is this also a problem on the v70 as well?

Great job Robert

Thanks. That one is usually blown. The S70 has chronic dash tab problems. Meaning that the plastic mounting tabs break and cause a lot of dash noise. If that’s the case, the mount may help but you may also have to take the dash out to fix it. About a 8 hour job. 🙁

Great video, very informative. I am trying to track down high cabin vibration on my s-70 and this looks like a good place to start. Keep up the great work.

RSpi007 says:

There are several things that may make the front end shake, most likely a bad strut. There are several things to check. 1. Rotate tires and see if things change. 2. Check the strut mount and spring seat. 3. Check the ball joint for play, at the bottom of the strut stack. 4. Check the lower control arms for play at the frame. 5. Check the sway bar end links (usually more noise than play). 6. Have the strut checked for play. Make a post on the Volvo Forums to get detailed feedback.

The only torque value that I could find in my manual stated that the mount should be torqued to 37 FT LBS.
