Old topic but… when leaking, do you smell the coolant in the interieur every now and then ? I do sometimes (once every few days) but can not find any leak, level has been dropping a little over a few months it seems (but if any, very, very little). Inside, the heater core connections are 100% dry and 100% clean underneath the dash in the passenger footwell, absolutey no traces of coolant there. Drives me nuts !!

Late to the video, but would like to see if you remember anything about this job. More specifically if the male connector that is exposed when you remove the hose and adapter with the clip at 0:37 is metal or plastic?

Hi, did you have to drain all the coolant before replacing this hose? thank you

I recently had to replace that same part on my 2017 VOLVO XC60 T6 with the 2.0 supercharged and turbocharged engine. I felt it was a poorly designed item that’s so fragile and its location is so difficult to get to. VOLVO should sell the complete rubber hoses and plastic lines as a kit when replacing this particular item because the engine heat is very hot in the engine bay and over time the plastic gets brown and brittle when it’s old. Looks great in white and pliable rubber with rubber gaskets when new. Overall, not a good location for this one example hose and not a very good design either

This video helped us a ton! Thank you for explaining, even briefly, which tool we could use to release those little clips. Went to the auto parts store and bought one just like it and that made it so much easier!
