OK, but what about the ballast?

Myles wynne-pedder says:

Hi, I have the same headlights on my S40, I find that the light beam points
very low is there a way of raising them up? Obviously I don’t want them too
high so not to blind oncoming drivers but need them higher as I cant even
read road signs until I’m almost past them! Thanks alot.

MyNameIdeasWereTaken says:

I only replaced the bulb. There’s no need to go with an HID kit in my case,
because these are stock HID headlights. However, many people on SwedeSpeed
. com have converted their halogen projector beams to HIDs.

Sanjeev Kumar says:

My 2005 S40 has a different bulb and holder. I figured how to replace that
one. I have to turn 90 degrees counter-clockwise the bulb itself to pop it
and not the “piece or the ring” like in your case. Thanks for your feedback
though!

princesandyx3 says:

With these headlights are you able to install the HID full kit with blaster
?? is this possible due to the cables connecting to the bulb or are you
only to replace the D2R bulb ? cheers
