Great video — clear and instructive. Having never done ANY car repair, on
my 2005 XC90 or any other car, my fear factor is pretty high. But, this
looks doable and I’m going to give it a try. If a 55-year-old woman with no
experience can do this, anyone can. I’ll report back.

One thing you should NEVER do is work on a fuel system with an incandescent
drop light…..One drop of fuel on the hot bulb or a dropped wrench could
shatter the bulb and the fumes would light up like a Roman candle …
Please…… Safety first guys!

No reason to jack up car, here are the keys: Quick Connect – Push on both
sides of the quick connect (there are some square buttons on each side) and
pull off. You can use the shrader valve (spelling?) to release gas line
pressure, or just do in the morning after car has been sitting overnight).
The bolt will be either a 12 or 10M, 2008 was a 10. Make sure you see how
the filter was held in place before removal. Don’t let the dealer charge
you 180 for something you can do for $45.

Ivan Rochford says:

Nice work I wanted to know how to do this. Did it fix the problem on your
Volvo xc90 with idle issues?

Jim Lcher says:

DAMMIT!! I NEED to know how to UN-connect those ‘quick disconnects’ and you
just skipped over it!!!
