Doing the timing belt was easier than doing this belt lol

We noticed that serpentine belt in our v70 is kind of off center after it came back from a crank shaft pulley repair. Belt is about 40%-50% of the center and that part of the belt isn't in contact with the tension wheel, is that normal or is there any problems that may occur in the future because of that?

Tony Fleming says:

The tensioner is a bit of a nightmare to release due to space with the star slot. I had a T60, but being on a 1/2" drive there was no space to use it. On the video installer said she didn't have a T60 but the T55 seemed to do the job. This was really useful advice, as I had one for a 3/8" drive which did fit in the space. I had to use an extra length of 22mm copper piping on the handle to make it easier to turn though !

It is fairly difficult to keep the new belt on the pulley as you feed it through.
The power steering hose was in the way of my ratchet so I lifted up and out of the way. I installed the bottom pullies first then the tensioner and the top pulley last. The belt may get in the way of your ratchet. It did not take all my force on a short 10" ratchet to adjust the tension to the fullest extent as I pushed the belt over the top pulley.

Matas Valentinavičius says:

I bet she did not install it, these belts are tight as hell to put them on the pulley. Its fun when she said- I did it! She wish…
