HEADS-UP 5/15/22: As I noted in other postings below that recognized this subject — BEWARE — Regarding removal and reinstallation of the headlight wiper arms, in this video the wiper arms were reinstalled in the incorrect reverse direction. When the wipers were first removed, the resting position for each wiper arm is facing toward the center of the car (toward the grill). When they were reinstalled, they were facing to the sides of the car, reversed from their original resting position. I unexpectedly discovered this today (May 2022) when I had to remove and reinstall my 2004 Volvo V70 wiper arms. I had the car worked on this past week at my Volvo dealership and when I got home I found that the headlight wiper arms were all messed up, jammed down over the bumper. The Volvo shop BOTH SWITCHED the arms AND reinstalled them IN THE INCORRECT POSITION (facing the sides of the car)! When the car is not running, when reinstalling the arms be sure they are on the correct sides of the car (left vs right) and they are facing inward toward the grill.
Drove through deep water a week ago, today during more rain the LH headlight wiper motor starts acting up, a constant spinning sound. Probably corroded electrical contacts. Not sure I won't just disconnect it!

How the heck do you disconnect those electrical connectors??? I can't find the tab she's talking about to release the plug. Please someone help me. I've already taken everything apart. I just can't figure out how to disconnect the darn electrical plug
Having replaced those wiper motors a couple of times, some tips are: You don't actually need to remove the bumper entirely, nor remove the headlight assembly. Instead, after removing the wiper arm and the torx screw from the wheel well, just loosen the bumper on the affected side, pull it out a little and let it hang out on its own (slightly bent due to its own weight). No need to remove any fog light cables or anything! The wiper motor can be wiggled out of place after removing its screws — it's a little tight but you can turn it a little so that you get one end out first and then the entire wiper motor (and of course insert in the new one in reverse order). The cable to the wiper motor is easily accessed from the engine compartment. Also, the rubber hose to the wiper arm is actually made of very high quality rubber, so there's no need to remove it with a screw driver (with the risk of damaging it), just pull it out with your fingers and it will come off. Finally, a common reason for failure of these wiper motors appears to be a built-in auto-reset "fuse" (PTC resistor, high current = high temperature = high resistance = wiper stops) which breaks, resulting in a way too high resistance for any current to be left over for the wiper motor. But the "fuse" cannot be easily replaced — the wiper motor is not easy to disassemble and the "fuse" is mounted on the PCB at an inconvenient location. A design fault on Volvo's part (or Bosch's) — an ordinary fuse outside the wiper motor would have been much easier…
