New HVAC Blower Motor Assembly from 1AAuto.com http://1aau.to/ib/1AHCX00145
This video shows how to install a new Blower Motor in your 2001-2007 Volvo V70. The blower motor, and typically integrated fan, is responsible for blowing the heated or cooled air from your heat or AC system into the cabin of your vehicle. A fan could become noisy if it is broken, or could stop spinning all together.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2001 Volvo V70
2002 Volvo V70
2003 Volvo V70
2004 Volvo V70
2005 Volvo V70
2006 Volvo V70
2007 Volvo V70

Hi, I’ve watched you replace the blower motor and resistor on the V70. How different is the S80? I’ve got a bad resistor on my blower motor of my 2007 S80. Thank you!
Is that aluminum part under the fan a lovely heat sink for the fan speed resistor ? Nice
Very good video. Thank You…!
I did the blower motor replacement as well and used this video as a guidance. The one thing I did differently to avoid braking the glove compartment door stopping
tab/tabs, like here the left side was, I removed the two hinge pins on the bottom side. And i just unhinged the glove compartment door.
That case no scars being made to your pretty VOLVO. Thanks for the vid
Really helpful video. Many thanks
While you at it, replace the cabin air filter. Good idea to buy a spare glove box strut(it has a tendency to break during removal). If you broke one of the glove box tabs which you were prying off to drop it down, you can use a self tapping screw instead and it will last you for years(you guessed correctly how I know)
