Stephen Ross says:

Nice job Robert and great tips ! Looks like your panel has the IPD repair kit (the sheet metal and screws added on some of the plastic clips). I'm in the process of buying a 5-spd 850R Wagon, and it's missing this panel. Heading to the salvage yard to pick this up and needed to know how to pull it off from the donor. And BTW, still attempting to get that Saffron V70R we talked about.

Aspen Sharp says:

Where could I buy the clips if I’m missing some? I bought a Volvo and the panel was off and didn’t have any clips with it.

Stuart McRae says:

I despise this uncooperative hunk of fragile plastic. This screwdriver method works, but it breaks off two small alignment tabs. It looks like to me that mr. volvo NEVER meant this thing to be disassembled without SOMETHING breaking.

Omar Elaqad says:

Thanks Robert! Have you ever heard of the noise the rear mechanism makes every say 10 seconds
