I have the exact same issue with a '97 850 T5 wagon crank and no spark. I've replaced fuel pump, fuel injector relay, starter, rotor, and about to do the ignition coil. Exactly how you described it with it igniting like 2 cylinders and then quitting.

For the subframe bolt nut, it’s tough to find a M14x2 nut.. but some GM products use a M14x2 lug nut and a good auto parts store will have something 🙂

Rob, following your blower motor replacement… I removed mine last week for lubrication in my 96 850. None ECC. Well it no longer squeaks, however now only works on max speed. I double checked all the wiring was plugged in correctly and not damaged. Any ideas ?
