I would suggest maybe give it a harder tap if you’re replacing the sensor. If you were keeping it, then I would be careful, but if you’re not then it isn’t a big deal if you wreck the casing for the sensor. Using a punch, give the sensor a tap on the ears for where the bolts are, that may also help spin the casing to allow it to break free.

I am in the middle of replacement. I heard you mention that it might be slightly stuck and to rap it with a wooden handle. Mine is VERY stuck and does not want to budge. Any suggestions?
