No. Its the only thing I have not done. I don’t have a gauge to do that

Its a 1999 s70. I put in a new fuel pump relay and the pump works fine. Its
getting gas. There’s new spark plugs in it. I put in a new cam shaft and
crank sensor along with temp sensor and thermostat.

These Volvo I5’s have a rare hiccup that happens from time to time. It’s
called the Lawnmower syndrome. If someone starts the car and doesn’t let
the motor run long, and shuts it off (like moving the car to move it far
enough to get the lawnmower out of the garage), it can cause the fuel in
the piston area to wash the oil off the piston walls. At that point you
will have NO COMPRESSION which will cause the car not to start. Two ways to
correct it: 1. Long crank. 2. Add oil to pistons & crank.

Did you mean a Cen-Tech Can OBDII coder reader and if so do you have an
opinion about that reader.
I’m saying that you can not get codes from a car that has had the battery
removed. Have you checked and verified the other items in the video? What
is missing? Fuel pressure? Spark? Compression? Timing?
Are you saying your scanner needs to be updated by Volvo? Im not
understanding.
So I got the car running after going in the distributor cap and
unhooking/reconnecting vacuum lines. BUT it was after a long cranking
start.
Kinda leaves you stuck. You have to check the other items. Also, the car
should still start with a bad MAF.
What year car do you have?
Yeah I did. The one code was a transmission sensors. there was a code for
the sensor it required and update from Volvo that no else can preform. Im
not sure if there are any others.
how can I check mass air flow sensor if car doesn’t start and battery was
removed?
Well, something in the system is failing. Do you have a CEL? If so, what
are the codes?
What about a car cranking and running for 5 seconds and dying. What’s the
issue if it dose that repeatedly

No I haven’t tested it but it’s an Interstate battery and is only 6 months
old.
Well, have it tested. I have replaced 4 batteries in one car in the past 6
months.
