Thanks so much for this!

Also just saved me $300 labour.

Very simple except getting the screws out of the right side of the blower but in the end all worth it!

Thanks………

Thank you.

Hi, hope you’ve already gotten a response to this question but if you haven’t: Yes, it is the blower motor. I have had the exact same problem as you, and taken it to the dealership, they told me that was the issue.

It is called a drill

If my Ac/heater lights turn on but hot and cold air only come in on the highway is this most likely my my problem? They were working fine before.

Tim Wright says:

Thanks! The video helped me to do this.

A few points. The wiring harness on the right pulls up to remove. The two RHS hex screws holding the fan are a pita to reach. A stubby handle and hex bit makes this much easier. Don’t be afraid to pull hard on the RHS of the airbag protector, it doesn’t just drop off.

Bless you for this! Perfect video, even showing that the air bag cover requires some jiggling helped a lot. I would have spent a lot of time looking for a hidden screw.

Jennifer Konold says:

Thanks for responding to my comment. I will unhooking the battery and waiting 10 minutes before removing the heating core.

macksoneh says:

Hi rsfeller,
Did you find out about the issue with the airbag? The video does not fully explain about disconnecting the battery terminal and the procedure for disabling the airbag.

Thanks,

I changed mine today after my old one had stopped working and produced a burnt smell. I was suprised how much bigger the fan is irl than it looked in this vid!

DynamiteMonkey01 says:

Great vid. Where is the resistor pack in relation to everything else? My resistor pack is just about to give up and I need to replace it ASAP! It’s -25ºC here and I only get heat under heavy braking.

Weepiest says:

1992 Honda Accord HEater Problem?
There’s no air coming out of the vents so for sure it could be the blower motor, But what can cause it to stop working? Does anyone work on blower motor before? It’s a 1992 Honda Accord

How hard is it to replace a blower motor?
What steps or procedure do I have to do? Any tips?

Agreed, nothing builds confidence in a do-it-yourself job than watching the job on video. This convinced me I could do it and saved me $300 in labor charges. May you be abundantly rewarded for such contributions. Thanks Patrick!

merci thank you for this vidéo. could you put others 😉

You have some major balls for carelessly dropping the airbag like that. Although I applaud you now I encourage you to take more care next time. You know, for your safety.

Michael Kornacki says:

Detected problem, googled and found this vid, bought replacement motor from online store for $128 and swapped the part in about 45 minutes. Most time was spent trying to remove the electrical wires from around the blower properly (there are some tricky connectors and mounts in there) and compensating for the flimsy tabs that broke off when I was removing the panels. Be careful; the panels unscrew very easily but can stick, and the plastic can easily break when separating. Thanks for the vid!

Normand Therien says:
