I don't like to lubricate the pad ears because where I live it is dry and dusty and it gums everything up. Near the ocean where you are it can help but for me I only put the grease under the clip in hardware on the caliper bracket to prevent noise. Don't forget to put grease on the piston face that touches the pad and the ears on the other side of the caliper too for noise absorption. Do not smear it all over the pad because again, attracts dust. Only the part the metal covers the pad.

I always give those caliper holder studs a few good hits with a heavy hammer before trying to turn them it makes a world of difference to loosen them.
