I’ve just upgraded my golf with factory xenon headlights and had to remove
the upper screw of the fender on the A-pillar to mount the xenon
control-unit there, but I can’t tighten it up the right way anymore. And
now my fender makes some creaking noises sometimes. I think the thread were
the screw goes in is worn out. What can I do now? Put in a bigger
self-tapping screw? That creaking noise drives me crazy 😀 haha

It is really tough to diagnose a car without seeing it. However I would
advise to just look and the simple possibilities, dirty connectors, split
wires leaks etc and continue what you are doing.

dragonsink6988 says:

I know this is off subject but I watch all of yr videos and u seem like u
know a lot about golfs. I have a 02 gti 1.8t and I’ve got evap codes anf o2
codes and maf code. I replaced all of the parts and noticed I have no power
to the n80 valve or the evap leak pump next to the gas cap. All run off the
blue wire with a yellow strip. I have no power at either plug with car on
or running. Any idea of what this is caused by? I can’t get it inspected
till I get it fixed. Thanks!
