Mike R showing you how to replace the front brake hoses on B5 VW or Audi sedan. This is an absolutely critical maintenance procedure especially in cases where the hoses are fraying or breaking apart. Brake failure can result in serious injury or death, as well as extensive property damage. It’s important to inspect your brake lines any time you have your car in the air in case your lines are begin to fray. We would like to shoot a huge thank you to ROWE for sponsoring the brake fluid used in today’s video.

It's odd because VW service manuals say to bleed them in the opposite order that most others say. It says Left Front, Right Front, Left Rear, and then Right Rear.

What cap did you use on the reservoir? The one from Motive is black not red. Thanks

Yeah replace them!!!! I just almost got in a major wreck yesterday because my front driver brake hose burst at that exact pinch point as the hose in the video. I just replaced all four rubber hoses today and flushed the system with brembo Dot 4 fluid. If this line breaks while you're driving, expect to lose 90% of your breaks instantly.

Hey car question I need a new brake hose to a 1998 Audi a4 the base sedan with the v6. For the back right side right by the caliper could you point me to a replacement?
