►Replacing the front brake pads and rotors of your MQB chassis Volkswagen Tiguan is essentially the same process as the Mk7 Golf R and GTI with the performance pack brakes. If your brake pads or rotors are visually worn past their usable life, if your pad wear sensor has tripped a warning message on the instrument cluster, or if the front of your car is shaking under braking, it’s time to replace these components.

Replacement of the MQB-based VW Tiguan brakes couldn’t be more straightforward and is a job that nearly anyone can tackle in their garage or driveway at home. It requires minimal special tools, all of which are outlined in the intro of this video.
