front to clear coil . 5mm did it with a tucked in tire, that was with a 18′ bbs rc wheel and 215-40 tires i believe
about 8 hrs since it was my first coil install and specially on a VW
did it to help people

Tucked back… and the front almost to the rim. yes i rubbed my fenders before the install, i had these in a mkiv GLI .
Yes i started with 5mm spacers up front to clear wheel/coil gap to avoid rubbing

I do not know what raceland has said but when I had those on like that I never had a problem
all good on strut but raceland said you dont need old metal plate on new coild over under bearing plate it could create noise.

SADLY THE CAR THE COILOVERS WERE PUT IN WAS SOLD 3 WEEKS AFTER I PUT THEM ON, “FACEPALM” BUT I DID KEEP THE COILS :p NOW THEY’RE ON MY MK4 GLI

I really dont want to ruin your day but you put the nut in the incorrect spot on your front coils.the nut should be above the rubber cup . Then you put the strut tower cup in and then the nut for the strut tower goes on after that

What about the sway bar I have the same coils in my gti and the end links don’t match up
Now do I need a special tool to untied the front shocks
do it. i have those racelands on a gli now.
