Is there a reason why you didn't put the pan in first and then put in that other piece to match where the pan was?

I'm surprised you are still using that heavy cumbersome horseshoe gspot welder when you have that state of the art stick welder still in the box?
Very cool that work allows access to that spot welder. No small amount of time and effort, though.
