Volkswagen 2.5L Ignition Service DIY | Coil Packs and Spark Plugs!

Back again with the MK5 VW Jetta! This car has a 2.5 liter straight five cylinder engine, which desperately needs new spark plugs. Instead of stopping there, I figured I would install plugs and new coil packs! The coil packs featured in this video are from ECS Tuning and are genuine red coil packs. Check the links below!

The dielectric grease should not be applied directly to the spark plug only the inner wall of the coil packs to prevent moisture and really you don’t have to use it at all cuz the coil pack insulates it pretty well already it could run rough from lack of power putting the grease where you put it.

Hey man u did great explaining every step in lamen detail. Also u used 2 steps that noone else used in this process. The gapping and the torquing ! It just tops it off that u demonstrated on a white Jetta just like mine. Lol Thanx man keep u tha great work.

Pop the coils up first,and then disconnect the coils.more room after you pop coils up,because it allows you to clear the bracket for the harness
