easiest way to clean that manifold is send it out to hot tank it. you'll be chipping at it forever by hand.
Straight up German cars are the worst to work on the plastic is brittle some of them have those crappy plastic clips and the ones that have the metal clips usually what causes a crappy plastic to break even with gentle hands I have run into many problems on Mercedes Volkswagen Audi Porsche and actually even a Lamborghini I don’t know what it is with their plastics but they suck

Ray, You need to learn how to weld plastic! That door frame is perfect example of how good welding is. Very very easy too! Let me know if you need a video to show you how.

Duct tape is awful. he should have gotten some blue painter's tape. That adheres quite well and it's not messy getting it off.
Those tires were fine… can’t always make a judgement based on date code. Didn’t see any dry rot or cracking on the sidewalls. Based on the overall great condition of the exterior it was probably garaged and out of the UV. I know for legal reasons you need to abide by those dates but personally I could have gotten at least 20k more out of those tires.
