Pro tip: when you're disconnecting the harness of the pump put an extra long (like 18-24") flatblade screwdriver in through an opening in the grille to unlock the tab. I struggled with this for about an hour, then tried that and had it off instantly.

But you know you took off front bumper. You know you can't unhook that pump with one hand which is all you'll get in there with these half instructions.
Look elsewhere for a how to folks. You need jack stands, remove tire and then good luck.

Just did mine, much easier if you just remove the plastic where the fog lights Goes. I only needed a flat head and a Phillips screwdriver.

around 1:09 in you see the front of it on the left side of that behind the light bulb in that little pocket whats suppose to go there? on mine theres a hole there and i dont know what its for and the fluid will leak out.

I removed the passenger bumper insert with chrome top to access the pump. Only one Phillips screw to remove, then pull gently on the insert.

thanks for this tutorial! my jetta's wiper washer pressure had been on the decline, and I believe the filter located under this pump is what's clogged up.

I know the video is for the Jetta, but if you should have an EOS it's even easier : just pull the foglight surround out, remove the foglight and you can reach the pump 🙂

Thanks for the video. It's nice to know how many screws are required for the wheel well panel.I'd like to replace the hose that runs from the pump up to the point where it enters the hood. routing the new hose is a real challenge.
