If they were very worn and binding up they might but you would feel the
dragging as you drove along, abit like a stuck on brake.

No worries, not a nice feeling when they go is it? mine was at 70ish on the
motorway the wheel locked solid, luckily it stayed on track though.

Thanks, and it shouldn’t be too far off, my current MC is just starting to
weep abit out of the pedal end, I really need to do something about it
before it gets worse.
