I'll get straight to it:

Vehicle:
2011 VW Jetta 2.0 S.

Problem:
Tail lights won't turn on, passenger brake light stays off until I press the brake pedal unlike driver side brake light that stays on as normal

Fix attempts:
1. I switched both tail light bulbs, Sylvania 7506
2. Exchanged my old battery for a new one
3. Initially I was just going to switch my #6 10amp fuse on internal fuse box but instead I decided to switch out all my 10amp mini fuses and 20amp fuses on my internal fuse box

Summary:
Problem still persists. Tail lights are not turning on and brake light isn't working as it should. Not sure what else to try; any feedback/help is greatly appreciated.

The tabs on these things break so easily.

What are the sizes of the bulbs? I heard they're two sizes per cluster

DEMEYEZ TV says:

How do you clear/reset the brake light out warning on the dash?

Joogle Dlay says:

Kudos for mentioning the two pins "one hugher than the other". Some bulbs have two pins but they are at the same level. Neither is higher. I am having a huge issue with my brake lights not coming off and I've already replaced the brake switch. I should have just tested it first. Eventually some of my lights turn off. I am so expecting the actual light assembly itself the little board where you plug the bulbs into.

BIG STERMS says:

My tail light on drivers side still won't work after replacing the bulbs even tho they didn't need it. The break light works but not the tail light when I turn the lights on. Any ideas? Fuse Maybe?
