Why don’t u show the driver side cause there’s a clip that’s screwed in to hold the bulb and u have to take the whole housing out of course they show u on the easy side
0:19 This cap does not twist off. Its permanently sealed. Why would they prevent access to a point you need to access???
Trying to get this light threaded again is making me want to not alive myself
The bulb flange has a flat edge with a tab in the center. When placing the new bulb in the socket, align the tab on the bulb flange with the spike tab on the socket.
The spike should point up when inserting it back into the reflector.
Wiggle it around until you feel it seat. Turn right (clockwise) to tighten.
Don't expect to get it the first time, it's a bugger.
So for the Volkswagen Jetta the headlight High and low beam are the same bulb?
Great, but how do you replace the daytime running light bulbs and signal lights?
I can’t get the bulb out the clip
I replaced my p/side bulb (low beam) and it twisted out just like your video. So I figured I'd change my d/side bulb as well so they would have a fresh start but the d/side bulb has a wire clip over the socket holding it in instead of it twisting out like the p/side. I bought the car used so is it possible someone in the past replaced the headlight enclosure with a different year? 2014 Jetta TDI sedan.
Thanks,
I own a 2017 Jetta can't get driver side low beam to lock, I feel no lock screw, but how did the original bulb lock in?
Of course, they skip right over the hardest part, reseating the bulb mechanism into the housing. Little quarter turn isn’t working
Love how the reseating into the internal bulb securing mechanism is a chore from hell-that's my firsthand experience-
