How is this done on the 2012 VW Golf 2.5L MK6 base model. Mine does not have the access cover for door actuator instead only has the interior panel that is held on by rivets
Do you have any video on 2002 B6 Door Lock Actuator latch Replacement? TIA(I can't open the door from outside nor the inside.
I have an 06 and the door is completely different. There is no hole like that to reach through. No videos online anywhere.
Any suggestions for removing the M6 bolts when they have been completely stripped? I have new ones to go in with the new latch so basically I just need them out somehow lol
Extremely well done! Going to do the driver's door on a 2009 Passat CC – looks very similar to the GTI door here? Notice some talk about taking the outer steel skin off the door, whereas you have taken the interior card off. Do you know why there are different approaches?
I see your door is open, How do you open the passenger door when you can’t open the door as the actuator is in the locked position so you cannot gain access to the screw heads that hold the actuator in place, there is a way of doing it without removing the door card or damaging the door skin
They should show testing the mechanism well before buttoning up.
I can confirm that this video is for the MK6 Golf/GTI (2010-2014). Just swapped my latch on a 2011 GTI and this video matched perfectly
