Riley Imhoff says:

Laura Simpson says:

What ignorant german engineer decided an important filter like this be hidden this well? If these guys were working under an imperal contract to hide the 3 meter reactor vent on the First Death Star. There never would have been a need for the second.

My customer came in with a "smell" when A/C was on. Sure enough, mice. I go to replace her cabin air filter and the factory didn't put one in. I found a permanent plastic screen instead. And a place where mice were living and pooping. People aren't the only creatures that leave their garbage behind.

Dave Kana says:

Did mine today, thanks!

Ernest Ayo says:

Apparently VW installed a “permanent” cabin air filter in their 2007 New Beetle. Other than cleaning out the leaves, etc in that space you will not be able to remove the 7” X 6” X 2” domed black plastic box. It would be nice if VW would make that clear or the several videos on filter replacement pointed this out. Further there is NO replacement part listed for this domed black plastic box.

SteelRaptor24 says:

I followed these steps but I dont have a filter where one should be. I have a 2.5 2007 beetle. There isn't even a plenum housing under the hood for one.

Mark Parlee says:

Thanks for this,

Kevin M says:

Thank You very much for this video…Changed the filter in my daughter's 2004 Beetle..Total cost $7.00

John Bell says:

We found the source of the horrible smell…..A mouse house after the car sat over the winter !!!!
