Great video, thank you so much. I was searching how te remove them…

thevanomxxx says:

Hi great video, how do you check compression on the cylinders? i have a 17
piece compression gauge for diesel, would that work? Thanks

BMAC VAGS says:

ok no problem, let me know how you get on.

Roy Alexander says:

well, didn’t find the tool but was talking to a mechanic who has a VW tdi
engine, so I’ve been at his garage today stripping bits out of that to put
into mine. Works ok(ish) now, got to get an air mass thingy, but also turns
out his spare engine’s injector is too powerful compared to my old ones, so
do I recon my old one, or replace ALL FOUR with the super speedy new
powerful ones? (or will that blow the engine up?) p.s. I watched it 10
times before doing the change, was a great help thanks. 🙂

Roy Alexander says:

Unfortunately not, but I took your advice and it is one of the Injectors.
Using your video to remove it would have worked this morning but there is
an engine part in the way… (the exhaust manifold? – the bit that goes
into the EGR valve from the front of the car..) So I’m off to Halfords so
they can sell me the right tool to get into that nook and remove that
particular bolt! 🙂

BMAC VAGS says:

Hard to tell, it may need to go on to a computer to check the engine codes.
It could be egr valve, flywheel and lots of other things. Are you local to
London so we could look at it for you?

Roy Alexander says:

Clear and Concise! I’m thinkig I have to change a “wiring harness” for my
injectors to stop a stupid juddering problem I’ve got when going over 3000
revs (and the ESP light comes on), have you got a video for that please?

BMAC VAGS says:

I have not got a car to replace them in a t the moment, sorry.

BMAC VAGS says:

I appreciate the comment, thank you

BMAC VAGS says:

Thanks man, I appreciate that 🙂

GOODLIFER says:

Hi Mate, great video. Is the replacement just as easy or does it take some
special equipment or proceedure ? Any chance you could post a video of the
replacement ? Thanks

lennonpolo says:

Hi mate, what does PD mean? and if you were to replace these? Is It just
the reversal of taking them out? Or do you have to programme them? also I
looked at your website and I can’t see a online shop on it. Excellent video
by the way, I’ve always wondered about these injectors, and now I know.
Good work.

Biddymc says:

PD Pumpe Duse, it is the type of fuel system they use. You can google it

BMAC VAGS says:

It means Pumpe duse. Yes i should have said it will be in my shop, still
building it at the moment. Than you for your email, I always appreciate
your comments.
