Nice video, man. Very well made. Did you notice much of a performance boost?

Yeah, I defiantly need to learn to breathe when talking in front of a
camera. Im use to being behind it not on it haha,

M BELL says:

Where can I buy a chip for jetta 2003

blacksided says:

Every chip is honestly abput the same when it comes down to NA cars. I have
Giac on my mk4 8v and mk3 12v. GIac is usually more pricey, but tectonics
tuning makes 8v chips as well as neuspeed and I believe there under $100.
c2 may also make a chip and if United motorsports makes an 8v chip That
would be my first choice. United was started by Jeff who did the programing
for c2 but went solo and from what I have heard, is making good stuff.

xwhippidx says:

hey man have a 97 gti 2.0 and the chip i got isnt that big is way littler
do u no how it would b installed?? its a bfi stage 1 chip

blacksided says:

depending on which motor it is, it can be. However you would not just be
able to swap ecus, out. you would have to convert your wiring
harness, ecm, ecu, and possibly. your ignition system depending on obd1 ob2.
. techtonics tuning has a chip for a 93 2.ol motor. Youtube will not allow
me to add a kink, there link is there name techtonicstuning

ammar shaheen says:

thanx you are amaizing from where i can buy that ship?? please send me on

Supernovablues says:

Pretoriano Maximus says:

Nice T-shirt

Brandon Rooney says:

thanks. nice DIY. extremely helpful. are the performance gains u got from
using that chip noticeable? I have a obd2 2.0 that’s a bit underpowered an
im looking to squeeze a few more horses from it. I gess in your opinion is
a chip worth it?

nieminen69 says:

I didn’t see you disconnecting the battery, I’m sure you did that but it’s
worth to mention somewhere.

So Rushed says:

do you know if i can do this to my 2005 1.8t gli? Thanks man

redbaron2448 says:

someone get this guy a hair cut

blacksided says:

Mk4 jettas after 1999.5 are flash loaded, instead of actual chips.
Companies such as giac, apr, tectonics tuning, neuspeed, unitronic , united
motorsports, c2 make software depending on which motor you happen to have.
Some may require you to ship out your ecu, others will be able to be
flashed (programmed on your ecu) by a local shop or possibly send you a
flash loader, that you would plug into your obd2 port.

Jose Rivera says:

You just forgot 1 think. Always unplug you battery when you working on you
car electronic parts But everything else it was perfect

tassatellite says:

will you have to get in on the rolling road ???

James Martinez says:

LMFAO dude ahha xD

Chris Hudson says:

One question… Ive heard from my mechanic that the 1993 Golf ECU Can’t be
chipped… If that’s true, can i buy a new ECU from a newer Golf and chip
it ? Thanks !

Truecrewmedia says:

same exact way, the one in this video just has a jumper board on it. Just
remove the old chip and pop the new one in,

Derryck Heimsoth says:

redbaron2448 says:
