Gotcha! And thanks for the reply
This fixes the rattling of the intake manifold. When the rod rattles causes really hard shifting an annoying knocking sound when cold and cost you a lot of hp
What exactly does this fix?
Ecs tuning carries the shift rod. Gruven is the company you want to go to for the bushings… I’m not sure if they ship to Mexico I’m not sure why they wouldnt
ethan b i know this was done a wile ago but im having this problem really bad and i dont know where to get this set here in mexico can you help me on this also any company that send this to mex sorry for the ingish writing not good im desperated thanks
doesn’t look like it’ll be too different for the 24v….except i wont have to spend FIVE MINUTES taking off the engine cover.
Video was a great help
You didn’t gorilla glue the new bushings?…
My god man…. you dont have to be so rough on the wires, lol…
Love the video.. Thanks.. So i have a question.. I have an mk4 Gti i just bought. Yes it has an Vr6. I just bought an Short Throw Shifter, But no paper work on how to install it…… Is it easy??
Thanks VDub Buds
this video could have been 4 minutes and 30 seconds shorter…easily
They tighten it so it stops the rattle that is common on the VR6
i was trying to hang them over the fender like i always do
does the bushings are supposed to be tightening the shift rod?, or they’re supposed to be lossen? , thanks for the video
Does a 1996 GTI Vr6 have a shifter rod, because I’ve been looking at it and makes the same sound around 3k-4k but I dont know where it’s placed in my engine and I called a vw parts store and they dont know how to look for it.
