Great video! I have a question. Can you use a late 64 handle in a 63 beetle? Thanks!
Just replaced mine on my ‘64 with the Brazilian made model. The passenger side doesn’t work with the key. The driver’s side is very stiff and needs a lot of force with the thumb to get the mechanism to work. Many decades ago with my ‘61 VW van, the Brazilian parts were often better made than the German ones.
I am looking for 65 bug door latch mechanism any idea where to go?
I’m going to do this tomorrow thank you so much!!!
I have a 1966 vw bug I got aftermarket door handle they lock but don't unlock what do you think the problem is
Thanks for all these great videos you’ve made over the years
If more volks cared doing quality work like on this video work a bit slower life would be so mush nicer maybe then we would all get along nicer I have found out doing things properly haste makes waste is what makes life nicer as I get long with my senorita sometimes when possible it could be done over but who finds the time also it pays to work in organized fashion using the right tools why make it hard if easy is best simple best I know from years of coining things thank u enjoy youselves if possible only problem is many ruin it for themselves when it should not been
Hi Chris, love your content. Ive lost my ignition key for my '72 and wanted to know if i can get the same key cut using the door handle
Thank you Chris, this was incredibly helpful! Thanks Gil
