3 Volkswagen Problems You WILL Have

3 Volkswagen Problems You WILL Have

Have a Volkswagen? You’ll almost definitely have at least ONE of these problems. These three problems are quite weird ones, but they happen on almost all Volkswagen makes and models that were made in the last 20 or more years. I’ve had 4 VWs, and each of these problems has happened with at least two of them, and my friends have had the same issues with their car. These are not isolated to one specific model, and affect the Golf, Jetta, GTI, Passat, Tiguan, and many, many more.

This list of problems is as follows:
Volkswagen Mirror Flap
Coil Spring Failure, both front and rear
Electronic issues, specifically power windows and door locks

WesternNY says:

Very good presentation! I notice that 'all these problems' have not stopped you from being a VW loyalist.

Johan Verster says:

I have a golf 4 tdi station wagon, and none of this has happened to me

RandomInternetGuy708 says:

lucky to say, I never had these problems with my Jetta lol

Norm VW says:

I experienced the loss of the right rear view mirror on my way to work. It was dark, I heard a bang looked to the right but couldn't see anything. When I got to work it was then I noticed the mirror gone. 170 bucks later… I've had three Beetles, 2009, still have it, it's rapidly approaching 300,000 miles, two 2013 Diesels, a black Sedan and a white Convertable, lost both of them in five years. I now have a 2014 Eos, it's only two months but the vehicle seems very reliable. At this point, I love it.

vaughn moore says:

I drive truck, the car I see most often on the side of roadwith hood upand steam drifting up from .(44

Saul Bipa says:

Yerrrr, I'm having issues with a front passenger door lock, it only opens from inside, and oooh after locking and unlocking multiple times, then one real window, you gotta hold the button when opening and closing.

Victoria Seaman says:

Awww I've had my 2010 VW beetle for only 5 months and already the mirror started flapping so had to get that stuck down, it's seemingly stuck in sport mode as all the numbers keep changing on the dash and the petrol runs out so fast!! now it's creaking when I reverse so sounds like the coil thing. I still love it though and hope it can overcome its problems

Zak Brinkhoff says:

Suspension literally wears out on every single car

Erin Beltran says:

I have a back window that has a mind of its own. It’s a 2016 Passat. Just last year, when going over speed bumps, the front end sounds awful like it’s going to fall out. I’m wondering if it’s the springs you mentioned. Also this cat eats up oil. When going to get my oil changed, there simply isn’t ANY. And when I’ve been driving on NO oil tons of dash board indicators come on. None of this stuff happened in previous years. We are going to trade the car in with 75K miles because this is simple a hazard waiting to happen. My son is suppose to get this car but it’s too dangerous. Need something reliable.

P Mc says:

Not really problems.

Danny Plays says:

And 2009 Passat wagon

Danny Plays says:

My dad has 2006 jetta tdi and the door lock doesn’t work

Matthew Shick says:

My mk4 golf had a rattle on the right front, only noticable indication I even had a spring broken, well, long story short I lifted the vehicle and 3 out of the 4 were broken, it was just the front right that was the worst and making noise lol

Sinergy says:

or dont own a 10+year old car, problems solved 🙂

Buthos says:

BRAKE ISSUES… ive owned 3 VW/Audi's older than 10 years old and all of them have had either seized calipers and/or handbrake issues.

C mattingly says:

Really I thought this was gonna be something helpful like motor stuff

Aymee Mouse says:

I'm on my 3rd and last VW. I've never had them more than 3 years because I lease, so I haven't had the first 2 problems *knock.on.wood*… But the window issue always happens within the first year. I just tap the control slightly to lower in an inch and it goes down all the way. It drives me nuts

Justin Talks Film says:

Not if but when. If you buy the car for nothing and save for maintenance it could be worth it.

Jericho Samurai says:

"Since we're Volkswagen owners and not BMW owners we actually like to use our mirrors."
We like to use our turn signals too… sometimes.
