I have an 04 beetle. Any idea how I can get the horn to work? I tried replacing the horn and I tried putting in a new fuse . Also, the initial horn fuse is orange, I got a yellow fuse which I was told would work because it has the same number on it. Does it matter if the fuse is a different color? I cant find a yellow horn fuse anywhere.

2005 VW Beetle 2.0, replaced the crank and cam sensors, and nothing. 5 minutes and $0 doing this and it works!

May 2018 had the same problem in Nottingham Uk … Thought I had heard about disconnecting the battery which I guess resets the car's computer memory. Very grateful to you …. As an afterthought it looked like you'd collected lots of leaves in your drainage channels so you are to be praised and ticked off for the leaves … Well done!

Thank you so much Daniel for posting this YouTube video how to fix this issue on 2002 VW Beetle. I had this issue a few years ago in California and I had to tow it to a shop and cost me over $100. And now I live in Canada and it happened again last week. I almost thought I had to tow it to a car shop again. Fortunately this time I search on Google and found this video. It really worked. I don't know exactly what happened but at least it solved the problem even though it might be temporarily. I am happy and thank you so much again!!
