Good thing I have a baja, just take off the rear cage, undo the wires,
unmount the engine, wiggle the engine a little and pull. simplicity..
Wow
Man, that thing looks awesome. Do you know what the paint color is?
Great video!!! Is the Blue engine caddie your own design or did you pick it
up somewhere. I’m getting ready to start a restoration on 68 912. Having
never removed an engine from one, is it easier to drop the Engine solo or
attached to the trains mission?
do you guys know where i can buy a more powerful engine that fits in my VW
beetle ?
could you help me? i was wondering should i rat rod or restore my 75 beetle?
Why your most welcome bro! I forgot to mention sweet project ya got goin
there! I have to laugh because you and I have the same floor jack…Harbor
freight right? I love mine what a breeze it is with a long arm jack and not
those K/wallmart short specials! Again great lookin project keep up the
fine work bro! Big smiles and happy miles to you.
it sits in project shape right now there’s no rust under it but no engine
so its a clean state the paint is faded and slightly rusty tho. so i was
trying to think of what i should do.
yeah they had 4 guys, but fore two guys you did really well
I FOUND HIS WORK VERY INTERESTING. SHOW! PERFECT
Good Video, great Car ! Like the Color very much. Is it your own car?
the world record for the fastest time of changing a 75 is 1:04 and they
drove it away
What make of trolley jack is that cause I’m looking for a new low profile
one
Not sure I can help you with that. Seems like a personal choice you need to
make. What kind of condition is the car in?
Show! Aqui no Brasil ainda tem muitos VW, para ser restaurados,
principalmente Fusca.
Just restore it a
And paint it and engines aren’t that much
Thanks Michael. That’s a good tip.
hey bro thanks for the video. now i know you put the motor under the car. I
thought you put it on top.
Thanks
Hi Shaman – Thanks! I just added a link in the video description for you
regarding the engine build. The engine builder’s name is included on that
page.
Thanks Bruno.
LOL! Thanks Mike.
Thanks. Yeah, it’s mine. There is a link in the video description that will
take you to my build blog. Thanks again!
Hi Lewis. I bought it at Harbor Freight.
Hey wolfywho , amazing job you did there . From where did you buy your
engine ?
I use a motorcycle lift for the engine, Harbor Freight. I also remove the
rear deck lid which really helps get to the throttle cable, choke cable if
your car has one and top engine bolts. Works really good with a doghouse
oil cooler. I swap out the hinge pins on the rear deck lid and install
quick release pins ($3.00) at a hardware supplier. I usually don’t install
the engine with all the tin, muffler, generator and carb (s) on the engine.
Try squeezing a 2332 into a Split window!
and thats the thing about these cars, you can rebuild them in a week or two
Your Beetle is as clean as your garage.
Nice vid bro. May I suggest using a wrench to rotate the engine so it
aligns with the flywheel instead of removing the starter? This will save
you alot of time and effort. An old school VW mech taight me this some time
ago and it works really good.
Yeah, I think I’ve seen that video clip. They did it with four guys, right?
Amazing. I’m happy with how quickly I did it for my first try.
Hi Bruno. Do you restore VW’s?
