Great video sir, I have one question, do you drain the block or just the radiator when changing coolant, I have seen it both ways, thank you sir.

My 1997 Tacoma 2.4 at 116,000 miles,did work myself at age 67,now it has 160,000

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Love the channel!!

@ozarklife9996 says:

I put a stainless steel float switch to a delay relay to a indicator light on my dash to let me know if the fliud gets low. 07 civic. They were known to develop crack engine blocks. Start at a low leak gets worse over time. When you shut off the engine it will pull from the reservoir. Unfortunately I was rearended in 2022. 255,000 miles. So i bought an Accord. Great car but it has a major head gasket issues. My 1997 Avalon runs fine with 272,000 miles. I don't think I will ever get rid of it

@xensesavege339 says:

I did a head gasket on a 23 NX350 earlier this year it had around 60k miles. It was leaking so bad it destroyed the catalytic converter and you could smell the coolant burning while driving. Although there was no warpage on the block or head.

@robertbrown7470 says:

I like everything but…………………………
When you say "gur" or whatever I'm sure you are refering to an engine. I have a 2.4L in my 2004 Toyota Camry (with 499,000 miles).
I have no clue what my engine designation is. I suspect most people don't go by the letter designations.
My suggestion, for what it is worth, is to mention the engine size as well so people, like me, can make a connection between the size engine and the model.

@ItsAlive111 says:

I wish you had such in depth info on Hondas as well!!!!

@jeromedodd6837 says:

Toyota engineers could easily formulate a head gasket to accommodate automotive coolants. The design failure is manufactured and contrived to generate future revenue!

@transmech says:

According to the fanboys Toyotas never have issues.

@Nightowl-OO says:

As always CCN sharing great info on focusing on coolant changes

@tomnrisa2905 says:

Toyota has been coasting on their "rep" for a long time now. They're no better than anyone else anymore.

@quaddad says:

2018 Tundra 1UR FE 112,000 miles. Once these Texas temperatures fall below 90°, I have parts for 2nd coolant change, new hoses, belt, belt tensioner, idler pulley, spark plugs and 3rd change of differential oil. Will probably do the 2nd cleaning of the throttle body and mass air flow sensor. Transmission fluid drained and refilled every 40k. Thanks Car Care Nut!!

@A-tracLander says:

So I have a no 7 tundra with 5.7, so are the head gasket for 2014 above the same as the 07??

@michaelrubbo7467 says:

Toyota should be paying you sir.

@AdamAus85 says:

Hopefully 3GS fse gaskets are good

@AndreasBomberg says:

unfortunately, if you do get your coolant replaced, a lot of flat rate techs just drain the radiator and not the engine block. thats the difference between having just 25% or 90 % coolant replaced. 100% is acually impossible, unless the system gets completely flushed.

@melissasmess2773 says:

My 1996 2.7 Tacoma, bought it cheap, bad head gasket, they tried new radiator and starter after hydro-locking it. $1,500 was a good deal.

@supergrendel says:

Bought my 2nd gen Sequoia with 55k miles on it. Did first coolant change at 102k. Ran it until 158k miles and did the water pump and coolant. Did coolant again at 192k. Then the valley plate failed and had to do the coolant again at 205k miles. Hopefully this is adequate.

@normelgamer2990 says:

Will changing my coolant regularly work for my new 2026 Honda Accord LX? I heard they have a head gasket issue and I want to properly maintain so it can last 250,000?

@maureencallahan1604 says:

I own a 1990 Toyota SR5 pickup with the infamous 3 v z e engine they fixed it four times and said it was good so I still drive it have 208 thousand mi on it now it's reliable still gets the same mileage as we getting a little hard to find parts though.
