Absolutely no one in America asked for a turbo charged 4 cylinder. They killed their market.
I don’t mind the hybrid idea. Toyota does that better than anyone,but like others in the comments,I’m wary of a 4cyl turbo…but man the new Tacoma sure looks sharp!
Better to wait for a couple of years to buy the new Gen Tacoma. Give Toyota the time to work out the bugs. I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD with extensive mods but will be looking at the hybrid version in 2025. Toyota is the uncontested best builder of hybrid technology and has been for the past 20 years.
I’ll stick with my 2000 Tacoma 4×4 SR5 Supercharged with 305k miles. It’s crazy how dependable Toyota vehicles are.

I sure hope the frames are better than the previous few years, the trucks are awesome but the frame sucks
