No need to go with a modern car with all the fancy features. Only manual transmission will go forever.
Rain X wiper blades for the Honda Odyssey are made poorly. The Odyssey requires a 22 inch blade which did not stay on the windshield and flapped at highway speeds and did not wipe away the water, which creates a hazardous situation. I took them off and replaced them with the metal reinforced standard wiper blades from Trico or plastic reinforced Bosch worked better.

You're on fire! Totally agree. In 2018 I got a 2016 Porsche Boxster, which replaced my 2003. Took a temp job in 2021 in Spain and came back a year later. Yikes, $ spent just on battery! Good news is it's worth about what I paid for it. Didn't go back to old job, so now I really don't drive much. I walk almost everywhere. Should I sell it now? It would be weird not having a car (bought 1st one before I turned 16). I can get from LA to family in Orange County by train. Car has only 23,000 miles.
I like my electric chain saw. It never stalls out.
