Toyota need to focus on 2 main lines:
1. Full EV
2. Hybrids.
Everything else….obsolete.
Cmon Scotty you know Tesla is an overpriced Chinese car company…not even close to a luxury brand!
Electric vehicle cars and trucks are a distraction , they are a scam.
Never owned a Toyota or Honda, have tried but they are excellent brand value. Kudos!
Toyota makes the best cars out there. Bar none. For $35,000 you can buy a comfortable four-seater 37 MPG hybrid that will last 20 to 25 years.
In 2050 20% of the 2023 Toyotas will be daily drivers. No 2033 Tesla's will be in service.
As long as they continue the hydrogen combustion engine work the world will be happy.

Facing high uncertainty right now, not only Toyota but the whole world. I think, tbh, it's at least need 20+ years to mature for the EV market. And Akio is right, trust me, he sees this cons of the whole EV thing, man, just the Dems are pushing for this uncertainty
well, it was good while it lasted.
I dont hate ev's, i just dont think the technology is ready to be this widespread and the only option available. People are pushing EV'S too fast, toyota is doing the right thing, perfection by patience
Toyota must move with the times. It is early days for electric vehicles. But Tesla has been on this trajectory for many years.
Toyota must change or have its Kodak moment.
It's not about being the biggest. It's about being the best. Quality over quantity. When you skip quality, customers should skip you. I wish from the bottom of my heart that Toyota will choose quality also in the future. Because I want to own a Toyota again in the future.

My grandfather had a toyota cressida back in '87 saudi arabia, i think it was an '85 model, that thing ran like a clock until he sold it in the 90s when he had to move… my dad still tells me stories about it.. you can still see them around in SA, believe it or not.. those things were built like tanks!
