Great video, I used these two video's as my main guide to completing this job on a 2000 4Runner Limited. Things I learned from this are: Crank shaft bolt used the bump start method to remove, Crank pulley sprayed WD-40 in center and outside shaft then light ping around it for 2 minutes came off by hand, back bolt for tensioner wow what a PITA had to remove AC from bracket then remove the bracket, putting belt on need four hands we removed the center top idler pulley got belt to line up then held it in place as we installed the center pulley, after pulling the pin out found a washer that needs to be on the backside of the tensioner pulley. Whole project took about 4 hours, used a kit off of eBay with all OEM Toyota parts. Again Great Video truly helped me out.
Nice job, but I'm sure you didn't use a catch pan for all the fluids you drained out onto your driveway and into the sewer drain , your pretty good at changing your belt but stupid in the way you don't give a shit about the environment !! Grow up , and respect everybody else around who has to deal with that bullshit.. thanks for the video..
I have trouble with multigrade oils so you can imagine what I thought when you layed newton meters on me. Here's a link to a site that will let you convert to Foot Lbs. https://www.google.com/#q=convert+newton+meters+to+foot+pounds – you will need to copy/paste
You didn't use rtv or fipg on the water pump with the gasket? Been looking at threads all day and everyone says something different. Any leaks of you didn't use it?
I had to take out the radiator just to get an impact to get off the crank bolt. also removed a/c compressor bolts and slid back then ac bracket to get tensioner bolt.this job looks easy but is a nightmare.
Eric Edic! You are THE MAN! Thanks for the video bro! You are officially the first person I have ever subscribed to. Thanks a Million for the detailed video.
The bit for the hydraulic tensioner pulley was a T55 not a T10 lol I bought an entire kit and the T10 is extremely tiny. Your videos have helped me bypass this damn AC bracket I've spent the last 4 hours trying to figure out how to remove.. Thanks!
why didn't you show yourself putting in on and what if you can't get the everything lined up? you jumped from "im gonna put it on now" to the belt being on…. WTF
… I love the idea of not removing the AC bracket, as there are 2 bolts that are PITA's to get out. Good idea of removing the pulley in between the 2 camshafts!
According to the Factory Service Manual, the thermostat jiggle valve (2:20) should be facing downward at the 6 o'clock position.

They actually designed it for people to take off the ac and then the ac bracket and then there's a whole bunch more space for that tensioner bolt

Video sucked part 1/2 thanks for the waste of time trying to figure out "how to put a timing belt back on". But skips right over that whole part.
is it me or did the right cam turn when releasing the tensioner?

you have the jiggle the wrong way, it should be down

That clip showing the extensions to get the hydraulic tensioner out is such a pro tip. Many thanks!
