I have a 1994 UK BMW 525i and on that, all the coil secondary grounds are returned to a large resistor at the edge of the cylinder head. A shielded cable then takes a signal to the ECU to tell it if the coil has sparked. I wondered if something similar was going on here, but it would seem to be simpler than that!

daewoo had a ground with no start alarm system. its inside front and console inside car right side bad grounds. its a bear to get at the console one. anyhow best of luck another tip.
I wonder what percentage of business comes from shops that can't figure out problem??
