Ripp Snortin' says:

The reason for turning the 4 mounting bolts around is so you can use a socket on the nut and then use a torque wrench.

Davis says:

my pinion nut didnt have a washer. should it? I have a 97 tacoma

Micu's Hocus Pocus Cooking Show says:

Hi,
Thank you for your help, please can you advise me if I need special tool to remove and then to put it back for Hilux 2017? The process its similar like yours? I have the same issue like yours leaking oil in the same place.
Have my thanks for your help!

Jared Eisenhower says:

Quick question. I really dig this video. But what I'm trying to find is one to replace the diff cover gasket. My front diff cover on my SAS 86 4R is leaking. Do you have one for it? (I'm new to working on the old yotas. TIA)

Armando Soria says:

Is this fix for the leak or will it fix movement too? I just noticed that if i turn the driveshaft in the rear while in park the pinion has play.

Jevon Jackson says:

Hoorah! from a Navy Vet!

James Leon says:

Brilliant video

Stefan says:

I have about the same play on my HJ60, should i fix it or will it be fine? Should there be zero play or how much is normal?

George Kopsias says:

Thank you for the nice video.

Aaron Carr says:

Nice, that looks straight forward

Kaylon Rous says:

Great job doing it! And for making the video but you should let the people know you must keep your driveline marked up and that there is a specific torque you need on that flange or you will crush the part behind that and need a diff rebuild if you do that

urbanturbine says:

What torque does the nut need to be?
They say too much will ruin the crush sleeve and cause premature wear on gears.

Sid Allen says:

Should have put a speedy sleeve on the sealing surface.
