P Run says:

The secondary air injection pump and valves go bad. About $2800 fix at a mechanic. The AC system craps out also. About $2400 at the mechanic. The mighty Tacoma isn't so good anymore.

JT Corey says:

Well I got 2 out of 5 checked off over the years! Springs and complete frame rebuild. I have an 07 trd with 245k. Love these trucks wouldn't and don't need anything more. Nice video guys!

Hey Tacoma guys,,,,,,,,Dont make the same mistake i did ….About 2 years ago i bought a 2012 4door Tacoma ,,,,took it for a test drive , i had that buying a "new" vehicle excitement which means you really don't check the vehicle as good as you would if you were calm and relaxed ….So i buy the Truck love the truck had a 99 Tacoma prior ( would still be driving it but rust issue ) … OK Your not going to believe this but it took me SIX MONTHS to realize the horn didn't work (i never realized how long you can go without using your horn ..
To make a long story a little shorter , me NOT CHECKING the horn when i bought my truck cost me $500 bucks…
(Clock Spring deal) Would have been maybe a couple hundred cheaper if i didn't have Cruise control …Started to fix it myself but really didn't wanna mess around with the air bag …..

Andrew McCarthy says:

I have a 2008 Tacoma base model, 4 door long bed. 240000 miles. I have owned countless trucks since the early '70s. This is absolutely the best truck I have ver owned. Toyota gave me a new frame and new rear leaf springs in 2019. Eleven years out of warranty. Contrast that with Subaru that had a bad engine problem for 13 years and they would only cover them during the warranty period.

Dustin Stopo says:

The leafs were a recall as well.

maykevin5 says:

Everything you mentioned here is taken care of with maintenance. I clean my throttle body every few years, I spray fluid film on my frame every few years. I take care of my truck. It still looks brand new after 180,000 miles and 9 years.

John roberts says:

The floor anchors work fine on my 15.

erval9 says:

I have a 2006 Base Tacoma 2.7 manual transmission with a 2in lift kit and never had any issues until year 15 at 200k+ miles (U-joint, Rack and Pinion needed replacement). Other than that just regular replacements like battery, brakes, spark plugs, shocks/struts, lightbulbs have been the only major changes I've done to it and according to people, it should last me at least another 100k miles without any major replacements like transmission, engine, etc.

Williaem00 says:

Boys how good are the 2014 tacoma's on gas mileage on the highway?

Silas Drewchin says:

Does anyone hear him pronounce vehicle, Verhrical ?
