THIS is the ULTIMATE scan tool for DIY mechanics on a budget

A Professional auto mechanic reviews a scan tool that is very capable and very comparable with the OEM scan tools but it’s a budget one that typically is a lot more expensive for it’s capabilities.

In this video we’ll take a look at the XTOOL D7 scan tool. Most people would look at this scan tool on amazon and think boy here’s another generic looking scan tool that can’t do much and cost a fortune. This is where we’re wrong. This is a very impressive scan tool feature wise I think it super justifies It’s price as it can pay for itself with a couple of uses saving you having to pay a shop to use their expensive scan tool.

I said this in the video but in case you’re reading here READ THIS!

If you are not a DIY mechanic or don’t want to really dig into heavy diagnosis, Then this scan tool is overkill. Stick with blue driver or Carista and you’ll be good. If you do your own repairs but find yourself always going to a shop because the simple scanner you got is incapable then this is a good option for you.

This scan tool is not cheap, but for what it’s capable of doing it is a very good value.

What is sad about chinise products is that they use reverse engineering, from people from all around the globe and copy anything without investing on the investigation or developing anything, they just stolen from anybody, then they come with products like this one, cheap and great…but who cares !!?? Jason Oren says:

I was extremely disappointed in this scan tool, it would freeze while trying to use live data. And it did it over and over again after rebooting, shutting the car off and back on updating the scan tool. No matter what I did, it would freeze. Made the tool unusable.

I've been rocking the Thinkcar Thinkdiag bi-directional scanner for 3 years now and just renewed the software at a great price. Nowhere near $200 either

Thank you for a great video. How much did I like it? Enough to upload unsubscribe! Your comments are relevant and the video is well-organized and edited thank you, again, for a great job. I'm getting ready to watch your updated model video right now.
I bought a Thinkdiag about a year ago primarily to add an additional comfort access remote for my 2007 BMW E60 with push-to-start only meaning no ignition key slot, but it keeps telling me I have a bad remote. I tried two of them both with the same error code.
Any thoughts on this versus the Thinkdiag would be appreciated. Thanks again, David
