Must be nice to live in a place that doesn't use salt in the worst winters.. That's Winnipeg winters for you in Canada

Derek Ward says:

Looks good to me. Way you take care of your autos, shouldn’t have any worries.

Mark Wilcox says:

Rob, what is your current mileage? Yours looks new. My 20 Voodoo Blue up here in Northeast, I am sure it has some at 50,000 miles. Have to check and see this weekend.

Spot On says:

Just curious if you are still using the Trigger 4 plus wireless switch for your lights and if yes how's it holding up ?

Rob NY-LA says:

I realized something as I get older. The only 3 things I’ve ever held onto my whole life is my wallet, belt, and my life itself. Everything else comes and goes. Point is I have a brand new truck as well. I was worried at first about scratches, dents, and rust. But what’s a truck for if your going to treat it like a Mercedes or BMW. I get it it’s expensive. I live in the mountains and one thing I can say. Is Tacoma’s scratch easy, and are extremely capable. Completely stock, very very capable.

Tom Griffith says:

Living in Minneapolis, I use Fluid Film.

Prepare and Protect says:

Have you done the AC drain Mod? Add a tube to it so the condensation doesn't drip directly onto the frame. Folks have stated their frame has started to rust under that drain. Folks up North don;t need that as the salt up there already eats up the frames.

John Bielenda says:

looks like still on the lot and never driven……….in Canada…….

fred sausage says:

The better test is to look into the 'C' frame members where in my region snow, ice, road salt and water can accumulate. Then allow a few years of use.

Glenn Fields says:

My 2015 TRD Sport dual cab long bed looks very much like the bottom of yours. I'm happy. I have used some Fluid Film on it in the past.

Chris Church says:

I don't think you have to worry about rust living in Texas, as opposed to people living up north, that have to deal with salt during winter months ..lol

Russell Morash says:

I would say with your climate in s texas you dont have any need to salt your roads. here in new england i have to go throgh the auto wash because it has and under carradge wash witch comes with the most expensive wash you can get it. I brought my tacoma to the dealership it was a recall so it was free they said they filled the frame with a rust inhibitor they pluged all oen holes the outer frame was sprayed twice it was suppose to be a day project witch turned into two days its been two years when i take it for tire rotation i have it checked and i want it marked down on the receipt that the frame was inspected and there is no notice able change no rust issues found so i have a record of it just in case but with the ammount of salt thats used up here it dose stay on my mind since i plan to keep this truck untile it dies or i do thanks for bringing this up rob its something thats really important that live in the coldest climate in the country.

vyger63 says:

If you're down South I wouldn't expect any rust or not much. However up North here in New York where it snows and they throw salt all over the damn road , you're going to get some rust. I have 29,000 mi on my 2019 Tacoma and have some rust on the frame.

Robert Epstein says:

The main rust problem to my understanding is in the rust belt states.

James DeHerrera says:

No 4×4? ROB. Tell me it isn’t so. Losing respect here lol…

C Bayless says:

Haven't looked to much snow still but it's been coated with Blaster surface shield should be good except for the spots I missed.
