We brought you our list of most unreliable cars, so now it’s time to uncover the most reliable cars!
That’s right, we’ve teamed up with Warrantywise again to find out which car is the best for you to choose if you’re in the market for a new set of wheels.
One thing to consider though, just like with the least reliable cars, these are mostly older generation motors that saw their manufacturer warranty run out. Either way, are you surprised by any cars on this list? Let us know in the COMMENTS!
Disclaimer: average repair costs collated over a period between 2021 and 2022. Since the sample was selected, Warrantywise has seen a significant rise in the price of labour and parts, which will impact future repair costs.

Keep saying to many of my work colleagues that if you want a reliable car to get to work and back, then get a Japanese or Korean Car.
Some are not great to look at, but when I drive to work in the Winter here in the U.K all I see is Peugeot 307's, Vauxhall Corsas and surprisingly a lot if Audi A3's on the hard shoulder broken down.
All the cars have nothing to brake… no extras what so ever
Not surprised to find Honda Jazz at the top of the reliability list. I have never regretted buying one. Very reliable with cheap running costs.
I used to own a 2014 KIA Cee'd and I never had a problem with it, even after abusing it sometimes. Just normal maintenance and that thing was never a surprise for me. I recommend it to everyone. Awesome daily.
Most i would say is a wear item like clutch, clutch are base on people driving habits, good driver can make it last long while a beginner can burn out the clutch in less than a year
I have a 2018 acura ilx with 55k miles and it’s never broken down
Kijang Innova best and most reliable car
Were EV's included?
Honda, Toyota, Suzuki ,Mazda. … Wow.. Japan still rules the quality in almost everything they make.
Gearboxes in cheap cars
So basically most Japanese cars, also they are all boring
Still, Japanese cars are the most reliable.
FITRARI for the win. Or JAZZ in the rest of the world. I had 3 of them. 🙂
WarrantyWise are unreliable themselves haha
i legit rather walk than ride in any of those
Less frills, less troubles
So the German cars are overrated? 🙂
Amazed that econobox beaters, mostly Asian, always top reliability lists. I suppose that it is gauche to inquire about repair costs for luxury cars.
please rank the repair cost over car prices
I run a Suzuki alto sz4 as a second car and it’s amazing. 60mpg. Sits happy at 80 on the motorway, well specced and nothing goes wrong on it at all.
You forgot the Honda CR-V 2002 amazing vehicle has been running for me for 20+ years has over 300,000 miles on it
Electric cars are inherently more reliable than their petrol and diesel counterparts, due to there being fewer moving parts
I can't believe that my Miata came in 4th, I've banged out 30k miles of smiles so far …. Parts can be scarce and therefore pricey … I made a few mods and I ping at almost 7000 rpm when I get in my feelings and decide to put my fellow motorists in my rear view mirror … on the daily.
Japanese cars are very very reliable.
TOYOTA dont play !
