good video, but you should specify that yours is a 4 cylinder………I just spent nearly an hour reefing on the idler pulley of my 2005 4.0 V6 before figuring out it was the wrong one. My fault, but it would save some people the same frustration.

Nice job on the video. As far as I know, the 2nd Gen Tacoma does not have a timing belt, it has a chain.

Thanks for the video. I took my belt off thinking there was a diagram and then found out there was no diagram. One look at your video showed me where I made my mistake….one suggestion is to start routing the belt from the bottom, and using the bolt on the tensioner arm(not the tensioner pulley) to move the tensioner and routing it over the power steering pulley last. I found this kept me from getting on the ground as I have a rocky driveway. 😉 Thanks much

I changed the Belt about an hour ago. I know I’m not a mechanic but I don’t shy away from most things. Your video gave my confidence a boost. It wasn’t quite as easy as your video. My configuration was different. I have a 2006 6cyl Tacoma that isn’t as open as yours looked like. The belt diagram was the same and I found a “Pretty” one on the net. I enlisted the help of my girlfriend, and we knocked it out in less than an hour. I’ve got your back when the Zombie Apocalypse happens. Thanks.
