how about splicing the antenna wire…I'm going to try that
If you want to route the new wire over the HVAC box, what you could do is tape a piece of pull string to the cut wire and then pull them both through that hole. Then just tape the pull string to the new wire and yank them both back through.

wow that's a lot of work to get to the radio. I'm glad it's a lot easier on my vehicle or else I'd forget replacijf the antenna

Thanks for the video. I've gone through 2 power antennas and a motor since April. My "new" motor crapped the bed, so I will be changing it up to a cheezy after market one as Carl said.
what a wasted video, why in the world would anyone replace the factory power antenna with some cheezy aftermarket one? wow
My motor is crazy squeaky every time I turn the radio on/off. If I just want to keep the OG antenna but kill the motor, can I just unplug the motor? Will the antenna still work? Thanks for your time and help!
